Alyssa Ammerman

Alyssa is the creative force behind Butterfly Spirits. A Montgomery County native, entrepreneur, former physical therapist, and fitness enthusiast, she leads the brand’s creative direction, product development, packaging, and guest experience. Her vision shapes everything from Butterfly’s distinctive look to its imaginative spirits and welcoming tasting room. For Alyssa, great spirits should be beautiful, memorable, inventive, and made to bring people together.

Josh Ammerman

Josh brings strategy, entrepreneurship, and a healthy dose of problem-solving to Butterfly Spirits. A lifelong Montgomery County resident and practicing neurosurgeon, he works alongside Alyssa on growth, business development, operations, and long-term planning. His analytical approach complements Alyssa’s creative vision, helping turn bold ideas into a growing local spirits company rooted in craftsmanship, innovation, and community.

Bryan Roman

Bryan keeps Butterfly running behind the scenes. He oversees production, bottling, inventory, fulfillment, and day-to-day distillery operations, making sure great ideas become consistently great products. Detail-oriented and hands-on, Bryan plays a key role in maintaining quality while building the systems Butterfly needs to grow without losing its handcrafted character.

Brendan Wheatley

Master Distiller

Brendan brings deep distilling experience and technical expertise to Butterfly Spirits. He works closely with the team on recipe development, distillation, blending, and new product concepts, balancing creativity with precision and consistency. Brendan also helps guide the production team as Butterfly expands its portfolio and continues developing distinctive spirits with a point of view.

Alex Moreschi

Alex leads the guest experience at Butterfly Spirits. From tastings and cocktails to events and everyday hospitality, he makes sure the tasting room feels welcoming, polished, and fun. Alex brings the personality of the Butterfly brand to life, helping create the kind of experience guests want to come back to and bring their friends along.

Melanie Osipowicz

Head of Sales & Marketing

Melanie helps take Butterfly beyond the distillery walls. She leads sales and marketing efforts across retail, restaurants, tastings, events, social media, and community outreach. Focused on relationships and brand growth, Melanie connects Butterfly with new customers throughout Maryland and the greater Washington, D.C. region while helping turn first-time buyers into loyal fans.
